Program Educates Chennai Residents on Cybercrime Prevention
Share on WhatsappShare on Facebook

An impactful ‘Stay Cyber Safe’ awareness program was successfully conducted on July 14, 2025, at Mangayakarasi Mahlir Manram in Sastri Nagar. The initiative focused on educating the public, especially women and senior citizens, about the escalating menace of cyber crimes and essential self-protection measures in the digital realm.

A special team from the Tamil Nadu Cybercrime Wing, led by DSP M. Lisha, facilitated the session. They provided valuable insights into the latest cybercrime trends, shared real-life case studies, and outlined preventative actions, along with the mechanism for reporting cyber crimes. A crucial takeaway for attendees was to dial 1930 immediately if they become victims of cyber fraud. The awareness program saw attendance from 18 Manram members and 32 general public participants.
