1008 free spoken Samskritam classes by Samskrita Bharati

Samskrita Bharati has completed 42 long years in the service of Samskrita pracharam internationally. Lakhs of people have been taught to speak, read and understand Samskritam. In Chennai, in the months of February and August, 10-day free spoken Samskritam classes are conducted every year; 250 camps are conducted.

This year, Samskrita Bharathi has decided to conduct 1008 camps in Chennai. The Adyar centre plans to conduct 108 camps and teach Samskritam to 2000+ new people. In this special initiative there are going to be lots of ‘Spoken Samskritam’ classes around the Adyar area (Adyar, Thiruvanmiyur, OMR etc.). Below is the schedule of the classes planned. Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
