April 1
- Saidapet police station arrested a person for stealing copper wires from an air conditioner. They also arrested two individuals for stealinga battery from a Tata Ace load vehicle.
- Madipakkam police station arrested a person for stealing a two-wheeler. The stolen two-wheeler was recovered.
- A. Arun, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai Police, appreciated Head Constable Tr. B. Kumaresan, Constable Tr. M. Sankar Kumar, and Tr. N. Murugan who acted swiftly and rescued two sisters who had attempted suicide by drowning in Marina due to a dispute between their parents.
- During an IPL cricket match, multiple complaints were registered via the Chennai Singam IPL app, reporting incidents of mobile phone theft at various locations. A special team, using artificial intelligence, acted swiftly, and an 8-member gang belonging to Jharkhand and West Bengal was secured. Four juveniles were apprehended in the case. 38 stolen mobile phones were recovered.
- Peravallur police arrested three individuals for murdering a person with a knife during a quarrel.
- Aminjikarai police arrested three individuals involved in robbery. 2 Mobile phones and 2 two-wheelers were seized.
April 2
- Sastri Nagar police arrested a person for stealing money from a chicken shop.
- The Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested a person for fraudulently acquiring property worth Rs. 5 crores through forged documents and impersonation.
- The Guindy police arrested four individuals for assaulting a person with a knife over a dispute about borrowed money.
- The Special Court for POCSO Act cases sentenced 3-1/2 years imprisonment to the accused for sexually harassing a minor girl in 2019. Police officials, especially the Inspector of Police, Kotturpuram AWPS ensured the conviction.
- The Marina police arrested three individuals for threatening a person and robbing his mobile phone. The team initiated action against a juvenile concerned in this case. One mobile phone was recovered.
- The Virugambakkam police arrested two individuals for murdering a lawyer during a quarrel. A car, mobile phone, and two-wheeler were seized.
- The Nungambakkam police arrested four individuals for possessing Methamphetamine. 10.05 grams Methamphetamine and 12 syringes were seized.

April 3
- The Triplicane police arrested two individuals for possessing Methamphetamine. 4.20 Gram Methamphetamine and two-wheeler were seized.
- The Pulianthope police arrested two individuals for assaulting and misbehaving with a woman and threatening her with a knife.
- The Madipakkam police arrested two individuals for being involved in mobile phone snatching. One mobile phone was recovered.
- The Egmore police arrested a person for stealing mobile phones. Three stolen mobile phones were recovered.
- Koyambedu & Vanagaram police arrested two individuals for selling liquor bottles illegally. 50 Liquor bottles were seized.
- R.K.Nagar police arrested a woman for selling liquor bottles illegally. 55 Liquor bottles were seized.
- K.K.Nagar police arrested a person for stealing a mobile phone from a woman at a tailor shop. The stolen mobile phone was recovered.
- Vanagaram police arrested a person for trespassing into an apartment and attempting to snatch a chain from a woman.
April 4
- Juvenile Aid Police Unit (JAPU) of Greater Chennai Police (GCP) rescued one girl child while her mother was begging, while carrying her, near Central Railway Station.
- CCB has arrested a person for sending obscene photographs to a woman from USA via emails, Twitter (X) and iMessages, threatening to murder her and demanding money.
- A.Arun, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai Police appreciated and felicitated the Greater Chennai Police Mounted Police team who won medals in the 43rd All India Equestrian Championship & Mounted Police Duty Meet 2024-25 held in Panchkula, Haryana.
- A. Arun, IPS, appreciated Nazima, Inspector of Police of T.P.Chatram (formerly an Inspector of Police, M.K.B.Nagar AWPS), for her sincere efforts in following the court proceedings and ensuring the conviction of Life Imprisonment and a fine of ₹35,000 for the accused for sexually harassing a minor girl in 2015.
- The Immoral Traffic Prevention unit arrested a person for running a prostitution ring in an apartment. Two Women were rescued.
- CCB arrested a person for fraudulently acquiring land worth ₹80 lakhs through forged documents.

April 5
- The Juvenile Aid Police Unit (JAPU) rescued a girl child while her mother was begging by carrying her near Arumbakkam.
- The Thiru.Vi.Ka. Nagar police arrested a person for verbally abusing a mother and her daughter and sexually harassing them.
- The K.K.Nagar police arrested two history sheeted accused for threatening a boy with a knife and robbing money through G Pay.
- The Kotturpuram police arrested a person for trespassing into a house at night, capturing photos of a woman, and stealing her mobile phone.
- The Basin Bridge police arrested a history sheeted accused for attempting to murder a person with a knife, during a quarrel.
- The Sembium police arrested a person for stealing fish cart vehicles. 12 stolen fish cart vehicles were seized.
- The Vysarpadi police arrested a person for attempting to murder a person with a beer bottle during a quarrel.
- Vanagaram police arrested a husband and wife for assaulting four construction workers with a wooden log and stealing their mobile phones and cash. Two mobile phones and cash were recovered.
April 6
- JAUP rescued one girl child while her mother was begging by carrying her near Wall Tax Road.
- North Beach police arrested two individuals for misappropriating ₹11.63 lakh by stealing cheques provided by the government to the families of individuals from Tamil Nadu who died while working abroad, and by using forged signatures and counterfeit government seals at the Chennai District Collector’s Office.
- Otteri police arrested three individuals for assaulting a person with a stone and robbing his mobile phone and cash.
- The Triplicane police arrested 11 individuals for selling IPL match tickets on the black market. 34 tickets were seized.
- The Thousand Lights AWPS arrested a person for stalking a woman and sexually harassing her on a Metro train.

April 7
- JAUP rescued a boy child while his mother was begging by carrying him near Ashok Nagar.
- The Kodungaiyur police arrested a person for selling banned manja threads and kites. 220 kites and 10 packets of manja threads were seized.
- The Flower Bazaar police arrested an employee for stealing and selling gas stove spare parts. Spare parts worth ₹25,000 were recovered.
- The Kothavalchavadi police arrested two individuals from Rajasthan and Andhra for threatening a shop owner and robbing cash.
- The Nungambakkam police arrested a person for assaulting a car driver with a stone and threatening him during a quarrel.
- The Anna Nagar police arrested two individuals for threatening a person with a knife and robbing cash. The cash has been recovered.
- The J.J.Nagar police arrested a person for breaking into a house and attempting to steal.
- The Nolambur police arrested a history sheeted accused for assaulting a person and robbing cash.
- When a resident of Ashok Nagar went to visit his family in Belgium, thieves entered his locked house. Alerted by a CCTV camera, the resident approached a neighbor who contacted the police emergency number 100. The night duty police team responded quickly, arresting 2 individuals. Stolen valuable jewelry and silver items were recovered.
April 8
- The Triplicane police arrested a person for verbally abusing a woman and assaulting her.
- The Thousand Light arrested two History Sheeted accused have been arrested for involving in mobile phone snatching. One mobile phone was recovered.
- The CCB arrested a person for fraudulently acquiring a property worth ₹5 crores through forged documents and impersonation.
- The Korukkupet police arrested a person has been arrested for cheating a private gold loan company by fraudulently crediting ₹1,65,436.
- The Royapettah police arrested a person for attempting to steal from an elderly woman and sexually harassing her.
- The Meenambakkam police arrested a person from Assam for possessing Heroin. 9.5 Gram Heroin were seized.
- The New Washermenpet police arrested five individuals for possessing Ganja and pain relief tablets. 1.1 Kg Ganja and 84 tablets were seized.
April 9
- The Maduravoyal police arrested two individuals for abducting a person and assaulting him over a dispute about borrowed money.
- The Egmore police arrested a person for stealing a mobile phone from a fellow passenger in an auto.
- The Otteri police arrested two individuals for selling liquor bottles illegally. 30 Liquor bottles and 200 gram Mava were seized.
- The Teynampet police arrested a person for stealing POS machine from a TASMAC. The stolen POS machine was recovered.
- The Juvenile Aid Police Unit (JAPU) rescued a boy child while his mother was begging by carrying him, near Triplicane.
April 10
- The Kolathur police arrested two individuals for possessing Methamphetamine. 7 Gram Methamphetamine and 1 two-wheeler were seized.
- The Vanagaram & Thiruvottiyur police arrested three individuals for hoarding Gutka tobacco products and Mava. 30.7 kgs Gutka tobacco products, 520 grams Mawa, 1 two-wheeler and 1 auto were seized.
- The Teynampet police arrested a female servant for stealing gold jewels and cash from a house. 24 sovereign gold jewels were recovered.
- The Kodungaiyur police arrested a person from West Bengal for attempting to murder a contractor with a knife during a quarrel.
- In the last one month, a total of 17 individuals including 7 individuals from Nigeria, 1 individual from Sudan, 2 individuals from Bengaluru and 7 individuals from Tamil Nadu have been arrested in a case of selling drugs. 2 grams Heroin, 37.5 grams Methamphetamine, 5.30 grams OG Ganja, 550 grams Ganja, Cash & 4 Weighing Machines and 4 Laptops were seized.
- The Taramani arrested five individuals from Tripura for possessing Heroin. 2 Gram Heroin was seized.
- The Rajamangalam police arrested a person from Andhra Pradesh for stealing a mobile phone from a fellow passenger on a bus. The mobile phone was recovered.
April 11
- The Immoral Traffic Prevention Unit arrested a woman for running a prostitution ring in a house. One Woman was rescued. Please report any suspicious activities to the police by calling 100.
- The Thirumangalam police arrested a person for misbehaving with a woman.
- The Soundarapandianar Angadi arrested an employee for stealing a gold bracelet from a jewelry shop by replacing it with a fake one. 3 Sovereign gold bracelet was recovered.
- The Egmore and Kasimedu police arrested two individuals for selling liquor bottles illegally. 23 Liquor bottles and an auto were seized.
- The Mambalam arrested a person for snatching a gold chain weighing 10.8 grams from a woman who was waiting for a bus at T. Nagar bus stand. The gold chain was recovered.
April 12
- The R.K.Nagar police arrested a history sheeter for assaulting a person with a beer bottle and robbing his mobile phone and cash, in the early hours, when he was going to a shop on Meenambal Nagar Main Road, R.K. Nagar.
- The Otteri police arrested an individual for cheating a woman by obtaining a loan in her name under the pretext of investing in a private company. A woman residing in Kolathur became acquainted with the individual in around 2023. He, along with his friend from Vyasarpadi, ran a software company. He told the woman that if she invested in the company, she could earn high profits and that there was no risk involved. Subsequently, through his friend a loan was arranged a loan for her at a bank, and the woman invested ₹65,56,044. When she asked for the promised returns, the individual issued death threats.
- The Elephant Gate police arrested a person for threatening a pedestrian (residing in Annapillai Street, Teynampet) when he was walking on Thirupathi Street, waylaying him, threatening him and snatching his mobile phone.
- The Kodambakkam police arrested two persons for assaulting 4 persons with PVC pipes and robbing cash. The cash was recovered. Four individuals working at a private garments company in Chennai were staying at a lodging in Kodambakkam on the night of Apr.9. While there, a person accused them of mishandling money. Following this, the supervisor of the company, along with three others, assaulted the four with PVC pipes and hands, threatened them, extorted money from them, and chased them away. A special police team is actively searching for the absconding accused involved in the crime.

- The Otteri police arrested a woman for selling liquor bottles and Mava. 10 Liquor bottles and 200 grams Mava were seized.
- The Madipakkam police arrested three individuals for stealing cash from a person, assaulting and threatening him. On Apr.11 morning, while a person was drinking tea at a tea shop in Keelkattalai Junction, 3 individuals, taking advantage of the crowd, stole money from his pocket. When that person asked them to return the stolen money, the 3 individuals used abusive language, physically assaulted him, threatened him, and fled from there.
- The Vepery police initiated action against a juvenile for stealing two-wheelers. 10 Stolen two-wheelers were recovered. A resident of Periamet had parked his two-wheeler near his house, and the next morning he discovered that it had been stolen. During an inquiry, it was revealed that a 17-year-old, along with his accomplices, had stolen two-wheelers in the Chennai and Thiruvallur areas, created fake documents for the stolen vehicles, and sold them to other states, including Andhra Pradesh. A total of 10 two-wheelers were recovered from him.
- Thousand Light police arrested a woman for cheating an elderly person by fraudulently promising to marry him and fleeing with 2.5 grams of gold jewels, a pair of silver toe rings and a saree. A man from Tiruvannamalai district, wishing to remarry, had placed a matrimonial advertisement in a newspaper last year. In response, a woman from Chennai contacted him, expressing interest in marrying him. Subsequently, on Apr.4, the man bought her a saree, a thali (sacred marriage thread), a nose ring, and silver toe rings. Later, the woman told him she wanted to visit a relative working at a hospital. She took him there and then claimed she needed to use the restroom. However, she disappeared from the hospital with the saree and gold jewelry.
