Sharodiya Durga Utsav and Golu celebrations at OMR
Dakshin Chennai Prabasi Cultural Association (DCPCA) is conducting its 10th Year Sharodiya Durga Utsav and Golu celebration from Oct.20 to 24 at Ilara Resort Lawns, Navalur, OMR. The celebration, open to all, will include pujas, competitions, food stalls, games, Dandiya night and other entertainment activities.
Indian Idol fame Senjuti Das will perform on Oct.20 at 8.30 pm, and Zee Bangla SaReGaMaPa fame and lead vocalist Rahul Sinha will be coming to DCPCA, OMR to celebrate Durga Puja on Oct.22 at 8.15 pm.
During the 5-day festival of Durga Puja, besides the festive pleasantries, people can participate in Dunuchi puja, Sandhi puja, and enjoy special vegetarian Bhog at the puja pandal on Oct.21, 22 and 23, from 11.30 am to 2 pm.

Raj Bhavan invites public For ‘Navaratri Kolu’
Raj Bhavan, Tamil Nadu, is celebrating the ‘Navaratri Kolu – 2023’ from Oct.15 to 24, which will be inaugurated by the Governor of Tamil Nadu, R.N. Ravi.
The celebrations, from 4 pm to 6 pm, will also include cultural events. Interested persons and education institutions may send their requests with the details, including name, age, gender, address, contact number, photo identity proof, and proposed date of visit, to the email address [email protected].
Only 150 visitors per day will be permitted on first come, first view. A confirmation email with the allotted time and other details will be sent to the applicants, which will be proof of acceptance of the request. Visitors must report at Gate No. 2 of Raj Bhavan, at least 30 minutes prior to the allotted time with proof of confirmation mail and original photo identity proof (uploaded in the email while applying).
Foreign nationals may also be part of the celebrations. Their original passport only will be considered as the identification proof. Mobile phones and cameras will not be permitted inside the Raj Bhavan campus. For administrative and security reasons, Raj Bhavan, Tamil Nadu, reserves the right to reject the request to visit the campus.
