Sri Sankara TV, in association with Hamsadhwani (Adyar), presented a remarkable musical evening paying tribute to the legend, Bharat Ratna M.S.Subbulakshmi.
The event, ‘MS Forever – a tribute to Bharat Ratna MS’, was part of Hamsadhwani’s celebration of its Founder R.Ramachandran’s birth centenary (RRC 100). Actress Revathy Sankaran narrated many interesting anecdotes from MS’s life and her journey in music; Ramesh Vinayagam presented melodies by her, with an ensemble of singers: Abhishek Raguram, Nithyashree Mahadevan, Rahul Vellal, Uthara Unnikrishnan, Sreesha, and 4-year old Shamilee. The event was held at Music Academy with a housefull audience. R.Sundar, Secretary of Hamsadhwani, was the Master of Ceremonies for the event.
