Drawing competition at Asthra Vidhyashram

Asthra Vidyashram Preschool, Kottivakkam, on May 20, conducted a drawing and colouring competition. Twenty-five students participated enthusiastically and showcased their skills. The competition aimed to create awareness about saving nature and the environment. All the children also exhibited their talent by writing slogans. Winners were also given prizes and gifts. 

The school also offers various after-school activities. They include handwriting, arts & crafts, drawing and painting, Abacus and phonics, Silambam and yoga, karate, chess, keyboard, guitar and flute, vocal, classical and western dance and kids theatre.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
