The Chennai Middle School at Gandhigramam, Lakshmipuram, is open for admissions for the upcoming academic year for classes LKG to 8. The school has been renovated under the CITIIS project, at the cost of Rs.2.5 crores. It now boasts of a newly renovated entrance, children’s play area, assembly zone etc.
The Headmistress of the school stated that previously the school had only one stair to go to the upper levels, now the school has 3 stairs. The school also has a library that now boasts of more than 2000 books; a bigger area to serve the mid-day meals; a hall dedicated for conducting programmes; smart classes; PA systems, CCTV cameras and much more.
The school is an English medium and provides karate classes for girls, apart from vocational training like tailoring, stitching etc. The school has 326 children studying in the school and have won many laurels.
