In a vibrant tribute to the city, Chennai-based band Thisram has released their new Carnatic fusion song, ‘Chennai Namma Ooru’, on Madras Day 2025. The track is described as a heartfelt celebration of the city’s spirit, blending traditional Carnatic elements with modern grooves.

Thisram, a seven-piece band, is composed of three female vocalists, a beatboxer, a bassist, a percussionist, and a keyboardist.
