Chennai Sangamam Namma Ooru Tiruvizha 2025

The 4th annual Chennai Sangamam Namma Ooru Thiruvizha 2025, organised by the State Tourism and Culture Department in celebration of Pongal, will be inaugurated on Jan.13. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin will officially open the festival at 6 pm at the Ekambareswarar Temple ground on EVR Periyar Salai, Kilpauk. This cultural extravaganza will run from Jan.13 to Jan.17, featuring events across 18 different locations in Chennai.

The festival will include a variety of traditional performances, such as naiyyandi melam, thappattam, karagattam, kaavadiattam, thevarattam, sevaiattam, k     olattam, oyilattam, and silambattam, performed by over 1,500 artists from across Tamil Nadu. These performances will take place daily between 6 pm and 9 pm at various venues like Elliot’s Beach (Besant Nagar), Thiruvanmiyur Beach, and many more places across Chennai, celebrating the state’s rich cultural heritage.
