On Apr.19, an all-day collection drive and clothes-repair mela was organised within the community of Clover By The River Apartments in Kotturpuram. The drive was initiated by the Clover Green Team, a focused group within the community that emphasises primarily sustainable initiatives involving waste segregation, landscaping, collection drives, events, etc. This event was conducted in collaboration with Wasted 360 Solutions.

During this all-day drive, adults and children were encouraged to give away gently used clothes, toys, and footwear and bring their clothes that required minor fixing so that they could be re-used. Along with this, Mor Pandhal, the two–month–long summer initiative, was also in progress.

This bi-annual event helps the residents in managing and reusing waste. In the past, repair melas have had watch and clock repairs, shoe repairs and utensil repair stalls too.

The Clover Green Team is a group of dedicated volunteers composed of responsible residents who play a crucial role in fostering environmental well-being and promoting sustainable practices within the community. Recently, they also conducted a Green Walk around the neighbourhood to spread awareness about taking care of the environment.
