To voice your thoughts in an organised manner in front of an audience, is a crucial skill for people who aim to reach greater heights in their profession. Toastmasters International was envisioned to overcome the fear of public speaking and to empower people to become confident communicators and capable leaders.
Medley Toastmasters Club is one of the earliest Toastmasters clubs established in Tamilnadu. Started in 2008, this club celebrated its 750th milestone meeting on Oct.14. On the occasion, they had a keynote address on the topic, ‘Leader within you’ delivered by distinguished Toastmaster Sonny Varghese, who is based in Qatar. The speaker has a stellar record of holding the top leadership roles in Toastmasters and excelling in them. They also had an exciting quiz session and a panel discussion by renowned and accomplished Toastmasters, on the changing trends in this century old organisation. The special invitees to this meet include the top leadership team of Toastmasters in Tamilnadu and the past presidents of Medley toastmasters club.
“The founder of Toastmasters International, Ralph C.Smedley believed that we learn best in moments of enjoyment. True to that, this meeting had a mix of fun, camaraderie and learning,” said a statement from the club. Non Toastmasters guests also attended this event.
