Chennai, June 24, 2025 — In a first-of-its-kind digital campaign by a Chennai amusement park, MGM Dizzee World hosted a blockbuster Instagram Reels contest this summer, blending real-world fun with digital creativity. The contest, held between April 11 and May 31, saw participation from over 500 content creators, resulting in a viral wave of short videos and over 1.13 lakh visitors to the park.

The campaign invited visitors to capture their rollercoaster rides, laughter-filled moments, and scenic spots within MGM Dizzee World in under 90 seconds, turning the theme park into South India’s most vibrant digital storytelling destination.

“We didn’t just host a contest; we sparked a creative movement,” said a spokesperson for MGM Dizzee World, one of the most popular amusement parks in Chennai. “This campaign gave people a reason to step out, have fun, and turn their experiences into engaging digital content.”

The event highlighted how Instagram Reels and influencer marketing can drive offline footfall and online reach. From thrill rides to trending filters, the campaign was a powerful example of how amusement parks can engage Gen Z and millennial audiences through social media.
