Fourrts India and the Rotary Club of Adyar have generously donated a vehicle for ‘Project Vision on Wheels,’ a rural teleophthalmology initiative by Radhatri Nethralaya. This project operates under the aegis of the public charitable trust, Gurupriya Vision Research Foundation, and the vehicle was officially handed over on Mar. 25.

Project Vision on Wheels focuses on screening newborns in rural areas of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh for Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP), a blinding condition that affects premature infants. Through this initiative, over one lakh babies have been screened, and timely laser surgeries have prevented 4,500 underprivileged infants from going blind.
