Hare Krishna Movement launches Kala Madhuryam

Hare Krishna Movement, Thiruvanmiyur, launched ‘Kala Madhuryam’, an initiative to promote classical dance and music, on June 2. The event, which will feature various artistes, will be open to the public on weekends, in the evenings, at the temple hall. 

The inauguration was attended by many dignitaries such as Dr Dharani Ramakrishna – Director of Saraswathi Natyalaya, Kalaimamani Dr.O.S.Arun, V.Viswanathan and Principal Designate Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School. Suvyakta Narasimha Dasa – President of the Hare Krishna Movement, narrated the story of Kalinga Nardana.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
