Karate champions in the neighbourhood

Students from Wado Ryu Karate School, Gandhi Nagar attended the 13th Shukokai International Open Karate Do Championship, held in Sri Lanka on June 11. The students won the following places:

  • K.Srinidhi won Gold medal in Kumite and Bronze medal in Kata
  • M.L.Ritesh won Gold medal in Kumite and Bronze medal in Kata
  • S.Advaith won Silver medal in Kumite and Bronze medal in Kata
  • S.Praveen Kumar won Bronze in Kumite
  • Sri Vathsan won Silver medals in both Kata and Kumite.

The students are under the guidance of the chief instructor: Shihan Dr.Gunashekar and Sensei Sudhakar and are trained by Renshi S.Vikram. The school is located at B.Ramachandra Adithanar Road, Gandhi Nagar, Adyar, Ph: 24412476.
