Kidzee Preschool, Kannappa Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, on Dec.16, celebrated Grandparents Day. The event commenced with a soulful prayer song and a warm welcome address. Mr Sridharan, the retired chief photographer of The Hindu newspaper, was the guest of honour.
“The day was dedicated to acknowledging the unwavering bond and unconditional love that grandparents contribute to the lives of their grandchildren,” said the preschool.
The celebration featured a variety of engaging activities, including memory games, fun-filled activities, and a lively karaoke session. The highlight of the day was a beautiful tradition where the children respectfully touched the elders’ feet, seeking their blessings – a gesture that added a sense of tradition and reverence to the event.
“The entire day was filled with joy as grandparents and grandchildren alike cherished these special moments together. The smiles and enthusiasm on everyone’s faces were a testament to the success of our Grandparents Day celebration,” the preschool added.
