Lions Club of Chennai South Stars honoured 16 teachers from schools and colleges with shields, medals, certificates and garlands, at a grand event, recently, at Mangayarkarasi Magalir Mandram, Sastri Nagar, Adyar. They were also given saplings as a momento.
Lion Arunadevi, Secretary, distributed sarees to all the teachers. President Jayaselvarajan and Saravanarani Thirunavukkarasu donated cash. 1st VDG PMJF Lion Varadharajan honoured the teachers. Felicitations were made by RC PMJF Lion D.Kumar. Also in attendance were ZC G.Vijayakumar, PMJF Lion N.R.Vijayakumar, Treasurer Lion Seetha Ramesh, MJF Lion Geetha Kumar.
The team also distributed woollen clothes, biscuits and healthcare items worth Rs. 8600 to children affected with cancer, at the Rajiv Gandhi government hospital, as part of their ‘Project Hunger’.
