Lok Sabha Election 2024

The city is gearing up for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 to be held on April 19. Chennai City comprises 3 constituencies – Chennai North, South, and Central. 

Chennai South Constituency comprises localities maintained by Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) and Tambaram Corporation, which are the following assembly constituencies: Velachery, Sholinganallur, Mylapore, Saidapet, Virugambakkam, and T.Nagar. The constituency boasts a total of 20,23,133 electors including 10,00,851 male, 10,21,818 female and 464 third gender electors. They will be casting their vote across 1922 polling stations.
