Bus ride – a study tour of trees
Green Tamil Nadu Mission in association with Rotary Club 3232 and Nizhal is conducting a ‘Heritage trees of Chennai – a bus ride’. “As Chennai celebrates its 384th birthday this year , Green Tamil Nadu Mission invites you to an enriching tour around the Chennai city along with its rich history and culture and holds a testimonial to Heritage Trees too,” said a statement from the Mission.
Route: Indra Nagar, Adyar – Andhra Mahila Sabha – Ramakrishna Mutt – Queen Mary’s College – MLA Hostel – Omandoor – Chintadripet – Egmore – Indra Nagar, Adyar. Young INTACH Quiz for school children
Young Intach, Chennai Chapter, is conducting a quiz for school children of classes 7 to 9 on Aug.18, as part of the INTACH National Heritage Quiz 2023, by the Heritage Education and Communication Service division of INTACH. Book exhibition related to Chennai and the Old Madras
Madras Institute of Development Studies (MIDS) is conducting a Book Exhibition on Aug.21 and 22, which will bring into spotlight rare literature related to Chennai and the Old Madras. The books and documents being displayed at these two exhibitions are intended to benefit researchers from sociopolitical and history backgrounds.
