Besant Nagar resident Dr.K.Krishnaveni, was recently honoured with the Mother Theresa award in recognition of her selfless social services, by Karnataka State Traditional Doctors Council, under the Department of Health Research – Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangalore. The prestigious award was conferred on May 20, at Sri Uma Maheshwara Bhavana, Narasimharajapura of Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka.

The Traditional Medicine Doctors conference signified the role of society in respecting the traditional medicine doctors since this treatment is vastly considered as social service and not as business, where common lifestyle disorders can be prevented by systematic use of kitchen shelf medicines.
