Commuters in Chennai looking for budget-friendly travel options can now take the monthly passes offered by the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC). These passes provide unlimited travel across the city’s extensive bus network. The two main types of monthly passes offered by MTC are:

  • ₹1000 Monthly Pass: This pass allows unlimited travel on all non-AC MTC buses (excludes travel on AC fleets, lift services, and chartered trips).
  • ₹2000 Monthly Pass: This pass includes unlimited travel on all MTC buses, including the AC fleet.

Both monthly passes aim to provide a hassle-free travel experience throughout the month, eliminating the need to purchase individual tickets daily. MTC Chennai encourages commuters to choose the pass that best suits their daily travel requirements.
