Intas Foundation, the CSR arm of Intas Pharmaceuticals, is working for the wellbeing of local communities and the society at large. In this endeavour, specific needs of underprivileged populations are addressed, with various initiatives. 

Under the banner of India Health Partners, Apna Ghar-Transit Homes are established for cancer patients across 20 cities where more than 200,000 beneficiaries are availing free accommodation, food, transportation, socio-economic guidance and counselling support.

The program is highly appreciated by society, patient community, treating doctors and hospitals. In addition, the Foundation is supporting the cause of thalassemia and haemophilia care, blood bank upliftment etc., across the country. 

At Apna Ghar, patients and caregivers have 24×7 access accommodation in completely furnished homes, transportation to and from hospitals, food/community kitchen support, socio economic guidance, recreational and education activities aimed at improving patients’ mental and physical health and 24-hour housekeeping and security services. A professional team of medical social workers manage the project, supported by an experienced national program team.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
