T.V.Radhakrishnan, a resident of Besant Nagar, was on June 1, awarded the Best Playwright Award in this year’s Kodai Nadaga Vizha, for his Drama ‘Thazhal Veeram’.
The drama was produced and directed by T.V.Radhakrishnan’s daughter S.Sruuthi, who also acted as the main lead in the play. The play also won awards for the Best Actress and Best Direction in the Vizha. T.V.Radhakrishnan and Sruuthi are from the family of doyen R.S.Manohar.
The 32nd Kartik Fine Arts’ Kodai Nataka Vizha took place between Apr.22 to May 3. Readers can check out the drama at the Drama Festival at Bapalal Bhavan, Thiruvanmiyur on Aug.14 at 6.30 pm.
