Amidst unofficial reports circulating on social media and some news outlets about a potential electricity tariff hike, the Tamil Nadu government, on June 30, clarified and confirmed that there would be no electricity tariff increase for domestic connections.

Currently, the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission has not issued any order regarding an electricity tariff increase.
