Online applications invited for financial assistance for education

Ministry of Labour and Employment, Labour Welfare Organization, is inviting online applications for grants of financial assistance for education to the children of beedi / limestone and dolomite mines / cine workers for the year 2024-2025, studying in Class I to professional degrees. The assistance will range from Rs.1000 to Rs.25,000 depending upon the class the student is studying in / course the student is pursuing.

  • Applications may be submitted at https://scholarships.gov.in using One Time Registration (OTR).
  • Every student must have an individual savings bank account in any nationalized / scheduled bank having Core Banking System (CBS) and NEFT facilities; the account must be linked with the Aadhar card.
  • Heads of educational institutions must register (if not registered) their school / college in the national scholarship portal: https://scholarships.gov.in, view the guidelines, scrutinise the applications submitted by the students, approve them and submit them online through their registered ID. Unless the Institution verifies the online application received in their login ID and submits the application for the next level of verification, the beneficiaries’ application cannot be further processed for granting of the scholarship.

Last date for online submission is Aug.31 for pre-matric applications and Oct.31 for post-matric applications. For further clarifications and assistance contact:
