The annual Puspha Abhishek festival at International Society for Krishna Consciousness’s (ISKCON) Sri Sri Radha Krishna temple at ECR, is set to take place on May 12, from 6 pm onwards.
This sacred occasion offers devotees a unique opportunity to express their love and devotion towards the divine deities by showering them with flowers of various colours. Following the ceremonial bath of the deities in this floral tribute, the flowers are generously distributed among the devotees, allowing each participant to partake in the spiritual blessings offered. The devotees then play with these offered flowers and celebrate ecstatic ‘phoolon wali holi’, a tradition with its root in the holy town of Vrindavana, explained ISKCON. Program schedule: kirtan mela – 9am to 9 pm, lecture – 6 pm, arati – 6.30 pm, abhishek – 7pm, prasadam – 7:45 pm. Watch it online at https://www.youtube.com/@ISKCON.Chennai.
