Silambam stars from Besant Nagar

Five students from Devaraj Asan Silambakkoodam won 5 golds, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals at the Indo-Nepal Invitational Championship 2024, held at Pokhara, Nepal from July 25 to 29.

The event was organised by the Indian Youth and Sports Development Association. The winners are: G.Mitresh, N.Harish, R.Lithikasri, K.Shreeja and D.Madhavan. The students have been coached by C.Devaraj, D.Mallika and D.Devika (Director of the academy).

In the mini sub-junior category, G. Mitresh won 2 Silvers, while in the sub-junior category, N.Harish won 2 Golds, R.Lithikasri won 2 Bronze and K.Shreeja won 2 Golds. In the senior category, D.Madhavan won 1 Gold and 1 Silver. 

The team was accompanied by D.Malliga (Manager). Devaraj Asan Silambam Koodam (D. A. S. K) chief coach, C.Devaraj, thanked the parents for their support.
