The Hare Krishna Movement celebrated Sri Gaura Purnima, the divine appearance day of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu on Mar.25. The deities of Sri Gaura Nitai were taken on a pallaki procession with the accompaniment of Nama Sankirtanam.
Residents of Valmiki Nagar came out and offered fruits and flowers. This was followed by a special abhishekam for the deities, Sri Gaura Nitai accompanied by ecstatic kirtana and a special video show on the life of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Dinner prasadam was served to all the devotees at the end of the festival.
