Vaazhvi, a Thiruvanmiyur-based NGO dedicated to sustainable development and social justice, is celebrating its 5th anniversary with a series of events across the city. The celebrations kicked off at a children’s home in Ramapuram, where the NGO, known for providing mentoring and life-skills training, marked the milestone with the children.
Powered by a diverse group of dynamic individuals, Vaazhvi aims to create a positive impact through consistent and well-intentioned actions. “Five years ago, Vaazhvi was just a dream,” said Founder Ashok Kumar. “Today, it’s a movement of love, hope, and purpose.”

Over the past five years, Vaazhvi has spearheaded several inclusive and holistic initiatives, including:
- ‘Occasions’ is a unique program that encourages individuals to celebrate birthdays by donating to orphaned children.
- ‘Essential Food Packs’ to combat hunger and malnutrition in marginalised communities.
- The ‘Children Empowerment Welfare Program (CEWP)’ provides comprehensive educational support to underprivileged children.
- ‘Pamper the Pets’ is a compassionate initiative for the welfare of stray animals.
Through these collaborative efforts, Vaazhvi continues to make a lasting difference, creating a brighter future for the community. To know more, contact: 99402 58765; https://www.vaazhvi.org/.
