Aikyam 2025: A Celebration of Dance and Unity
The MSMAB Trust and Maanasi Arts Academy present Aikyam 2025, a cultural event celebrating classical dance, on Oct.12 at Bharatakalanjali, TEACH Auditorium, CSIR Road, Taramani.
The guest of honour is Kalaimamani Acharya Choodamani Roja Kannan, Director of Bharatha Natyalaya – Academy of Dance & Music. Performances include a duet recital by Girish Madhu and Vidhya Girish (5.15 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.), followed by Pitthan, a production by Divya Nayar’s Dakshina Repertory (6.45 p.m. to 8 p.m.).

Art as Light: Healing Minds, Inspiring Change
In response to growing youth anxiety and mental health concerns, a free awareness session titled ‘Art as Light: Healing Minds, Inspiring Change’ will be held on Oct.18, from 10 am to 12 pm, at Deeksha Montessori School, Thiruvanmiyur. The session will explore how art fosters self-expression, emotional regulation, and resilience. Parents, educators, teens, and young adults are encouraged to participate.
ISKCON Invites Devotees to Host Damodara Programs
ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) is urging devotees to organise Lord Damodara programs throughout the month. The core activity of the program involves narrating the sweet pastimes of Lord Damodara and encouraging everyone to offer ghee lamps while singing the Damodarāṣṭakam, thereby spreading spiritual light and gaining eternal credit.
