The Rotary Club of Chennai Galaxy recently conducted the annual Science and Technology Quiz for students from grade 8 to 12. M.Appavu, Speaker of the Tamilnadu Legislative Assembly was the chief guest while District Governor Rotarian A.K.S.Ravi Raman was the guest of honour.
More than 400 teams participated from 100 schools. The children received gift hampers filled with goodies from sponsors – Meritus Centre for Creativity and Innovation, Gandhi Nagar. The quiz was managed by Club President Rtn Ravikumar, Quiz Chairman Rtn Govindaraja, and a dedicated team of Rotarians.
The winners of the quiz were:
- 1st prize – PSBB Nungambakkam – Laptops
- 2nd prize – DAV Boys Gopalapuram – Laptops
- 3rd prize – Prasan Vidya Mandir – Geared Cycles.
