The Swarathma students, Mirra’s vocalists, sang Manasa Sathatham and began the event. Poem renditions of Bharathiyar and Tiruvalluvar were followed by dances to Tamil film songs and English songs. Students enacted skits with social messages; a mime act that conveyed a powerful message on acid attack victims left a deep impact. A short movie by Mirra’s digital Literacy students and ramp walk had the audience cheering. It was a cultural bonanza and visual treat for all those who had gathered, both young and old.

The show had Vinit Dev Wankhede IPS, Director General of Police Headquarters, and Shivaranjani, social worker, as chief guests who were enthralled by the variety of performances. They awarded trophies and certificates to all the participants. There were also food stalls and handicrafts made by neurodiverse individuals and their families at the venue.

Kalakriti- The Stage is a platform to show that possibilities and nurturing go hand in hand. Mirra is a Chennai based NGO working with neurodiverse individuals and empowering their families, driving inclusion in society. They can be reached at 98840 86940, 99529 03789.
