The Hexaware Dream Runners Half Marathon 2025 saw enthusiastic participation from over 6,500 runners from Chennai and across various states. The event featured a 10K run and a 21.1K half marathon, embodying its theme, ‘Run, Inspire, Fuel, Strengthen: Every Step Counts’.
Ma. Subramanian, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, flagged off the 21.1K race, commending Dream Runners’ efforts to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent lifestyle diseases. He also praised their consistent commitment to social causes. Bandi Gangadhar, IPS, DIG and Joint Commissioner (Traffic), South, flagged off the 10K run and participated himself, having distributed prosthetic limbs to amputees at the expo a day prior.

This annual fundraiser, organised by Dream Runners, supports multiple charities, including providing prosthetic limbs via Freedom Trust, pressure garments for burn victims through PCVC, and aid to Vijay Human Services and the Tamil Nadu Athletics Association. This year’s marathon also featured special runs for visually challenged participants and wheelchair runners, highlighting its inclusive spirit.
Committed to sustainability, volunteers and ploggers ensured the entire route, from Island Grounds to Olcott School, remained litter-free. Prior to the main event, Dream Runners also hosted a Women’s Day Run, strength training sessions, launched a healthy recipe book (The Dream Palate), and conducted a ‘Wise Walk’ honouring senior citizens.
