Aikyam 2025: A Celebration of Dance and Unity
The MSMAB Trust and Maanasi Arts Academy present Aikyam 2025, a cultural event celebrating classical dance, on Oct.12 at Bharatakalanjali, TEACH Auditorium, CSIR Road, Taramani.
The guest of honour is Kalaimamani Acharya Choodamani Roja Kannan, Director of Bharatha Natyalaya – Academy of Dance & Music. Performances include a duet recital by Girish Madhu and Vidhya Girish (5.15 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.), followed by Pitthan, a production by Divya Nayar’s Dakshina Repertory (6.45 p.m. to 8 p.m.).
INWA Handicraft Exhibition and Jumble Sale
The Indira Nagar Women’s Association (INWA) is organising a one-day Handicraft Exhibition and Jumble Sale on Oct.14, from 10 am to 5 pm, at INWA premises, 1st Main Road, Indira Nagar, Adyar. In response to growing youth anxiety and mental health concerns, a free awareness session titled ‘Art as Light: Healing Minds, Inspiring Change’ will be held on Oct.18, from 10 am to 12 pm, at Deeksha Montessori School, Thiruvanmiyur. The session will explore how art fosters self-expression, emotional regulation, and resilience. Parents, educators, teens, and young adults are encouraged to participate.
