Programmes at Anna Centenary Library (ACL), Kotturpuram

  • Nov.1 (10.30 am): 17th edition of “Kurunthogai Tolpazhamaiyin Ezhucci,” a literary event reviving ancient Tamil poetry. Dr. T. Singara Saravanan will present insights into the classical anthology Kurunthogai and its cultural relevance.
  • Nov.2 (4 pm): 18th edition of the Kurunthogai series. Prof. Dr. Mu. Muthuvelu (Former Head, Tamil Dept., Govt. Arts College) will speak on the historical notes and structure of Kurunthogai.
  • Nov.4 (5.30 pm): A special literary event featuring discussions on several new works. Keynote by Dr. J. Baskaran, with talks by Revathi Balaji, R. Ramanan, R. Prema, Hariharan, J. Baskaran, A. Kanesharaman, and V.V.Su.

Book Launch – Payanangal… Ekkangal…

The Keezhadi Narrative – A Historical Discussion

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
