KV IIT student stands third in NEET

Kaustav Bauri, who secured the All-India Rank 3 in NEET (UG) 2023, is a student of KV IIT Chennai since his Class I. Ever since his childhood, he has been passionate about science, and was a meritorious student. 

He attributes his success to his parents – father, a Professor at IITM and mother, Human Resources Vice President with Accenture India, who were the driving force and pillars of support to his commendable achievement. While sharing his experiences, he said that he was greatly elated at this success and had never dreamt of cracking the NEET in his first attempt.

Though he found it difficult to cope up with the school curriculum and his preparation in the beginning, slowly he learned the nuances t○ achieve his goal. When asked about his study plan, he shared that he focused on mastering his NCERT textbooks for Biology and Chemistry and understanding concepts in Physics, which is his all-time favourite subject. He ensured regular topic-wise practice and challenged himself with mock exams to equip himself for the big day. He also shared that he was a night owl and roughly prepared for four to five hours every day. 

Kaustav aims to get into the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and specialise in Oncology in order to research more about Cancer that claims millions of lives.

Dr.M.Manickasamy, Principal along with staff members and the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, felicitated him on his incredible achievement and wished him all success for his future endeavours.
