Police rescue children used for begging

Greater Chennai Police’s swift action rescued 5 children near Velachery Railway Station, Thiruvanmiyur Bus Depot and Marundeeswar Temple, Thiruvanmiyur on July 21.

These innocent kids were being exploited by their mothers for begging.  The police promptly intervened, ensuring their safety. The children were produced before the Child Welfare Committee and then reunited with their mothers after a stern warning.
