Sevalaya, with the support of EXL, conducted free Menstrual Hygiene Awareness sessions for adolescent girls at two schools in Chennai: Avvai Homes TVR Higher Secondary School, Adyar, and Olcott Memorial School, Besant Nagar on Dec.3 and 4.
Dr. Kavitha (Head Health at Sevalaya), led the sessions, which reached a total of 572 students—453 from Avvai Homes and 119 from Olcott Memorial. These interactive sessions aimed to educate adolescent girls about menstrual health, hygiene practices, and self-care, fostering awareness and confidence among the students.
As part of the initiative, every participant received a specially curated hygiene kit and nutrition pack to promote overall well-being.
