The Appayya Dikshitha Foundation (ADF), Kottivakkam, organised a series of Vedaparayanam sessions across sacred cities in Tamilnadu during the auspicious Karthigai month. These events featured Veda Vidvans performing traditional chanting in various locations.
On Nov.18 and 25, Vedaparayanam sessions were conducted in homes at Natco Colony, Kottivakkam, with 10 Veda Vidvans — 4 from Samavedam and 6 from Krishna Yajurvedam.
On Dec.2, the foundation organised Ekadasa Sri Rudra Parayanam and Vedic chanting at ancient temples near Walaja and Arcot, including Kasyabeshwareshwar Temple (Avarakkarai village), Vishwamithreswar Temple (Puliankannu village), Gowhameshwareeswar Temple (Kaarai village) and Sri Valmeekashwareeshwarar Temple (Melvisharam village).
The celebrations concluded on Dec.9 with a grand Chathurvedam Parayanam at a Vedapatasala near Sankara Mutt in Varanasi and Sukla Yajurveda Parayanam at a Veda Vidyalaya in Ayodhya.
As part of the events, advocate Srinivasan (Founder of ADF), distributed essential items, including 5 kgs of rice, groceries and edible oil to temple priests, and dhotis, towels, and fruits to Vedic students at Varanasi and Ayodhya. For more information, contact 95000 43938.
