Abundant Joy in Giving

Surana High Tech International School, Besant Nagar celebrated Christmas with a ‘Joy of Giving’ initiative. With contribution from the parents, the students and teachers of the school joined the Christmas celebrations of Olcott Memorial School and distributed gifts to the students of the school.

“As they handed the gifts over to their counterparts, the delight on the recipient’s face filled everyone’s heart with instant gratification and fulfilment. One was reminded of Ben Carson’s quote ‘Happiness doesn’t result from what we get, but from what we give’,” said a statement from the school.

One of the students, Siddharth, said, “I have given items for charity before too. But I have never handed it out personally. This time, when I saw their (recipient’s) faces while giving out the gifts myself, I felt very positive and fulfilled seeing the happiness on their face. This is a new experience for me.”

The school thanked Olcott Memorial School for welcoming their students with smiles.
