Archery students aim high

Students of Aim Archery Academy took part in the National Open Archery  Tournament held at Yercaud and organised by the Tamilnadu Vil Vilaiyattu Sangam, and secured the following places:

  • M.L. Ritesh – 2nd in Animal round and 3rd in Tri-spot round in the U-17 Boys compound bow;
  • R.Dashvanth – 1st in the Tri-spot round in the U-13 Boys compound bow;
  • B.S.Rithika – 2nd in the U-8 Girls Bare Bow;
  • S.Advaith – 2nd in the Tri-spot round in the U-13 Boys compound bow;
  • K.Srinidhi – 2nd place in the Target round, 1st place in the Tri-spot round and 2nd place in the Animal round in the U-17 girls category.

The students train under coach S.Vikram. The Archery School is at No.15, 4th Main Road, Gandhi Nagar, Adyar. Ph: 98412 57957.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
