In a unique awareness initiative, the Inner Wheel Club of Chennai Presidency, supported by Ward 170 (Kotturpuram) Councillor K. R. Kathir Murugan and District Chairman Fathima Nasira, organised an ‘Orange the World’ campaign for over 100 auto drivers in Kotturpuram on June 26 at Infinity Park (Kotturpuram). This joint campaign by the United Nations and International Inner Wheel aims to prevent violence against women and children.

The program focused on educating men about how violence against women negatively impacts their own lives and growth, emphasising that family prosperity stems from the well-being of all members. Acclaimed author and trainer Ganesh engaged the audience, discussing how psychological pressure can lead to taking out frustration on loved ones.

Fathima Nasira passionately urged the men to uplift women in their lives, making a profound impact. A participant’s spontaneous summary of the program highlighted its successful message delivery.

The event culminated with a spirited oath to be ‘real men’ and foster a world without violence, promoting harmonious living. The Councillor praised the initiative, pledging support for future programs in his ward, “Change one person, and an entire society will change!”
