ECR Riders cycling group hosted a special cycling event to Mamallapuram on Mar.30, which concluded with the launch of a new brochure titled ‘Lesser Known Monuments of Mamallapuram’.

The brochure, an initiative by ECR Riders, was thoughtfully curated by heritage enthusiast Ramanujar Moulana, Founder of Cycling Yogis, and highlights several lesser-explored monuments of Mamallapuram. Two years of dedicated exploration and research by Ramanujar Moulana finally saw the light of day with the release of this carefully crafted brochure. The brochure was released by the Sholinganallur MLA S. Aravind Ramesh.

Adding to the significance of the event, ECR Riders also unveiled a new jersey design for its members, symbolising the group’s growing identity and spirit.

The brochure showcases six underappreciated monuments that offer a deeper insight into Mamallapuram’s rich cultural heritage:

  • Mukundanayanar Temple
  • Adi Varaha Cave Temple
  • Pidari Ratha
  • Valian Kuttai Ratha
  • Koneri & Unfinished Mandapam
  • Unfinished Rock Sculptures

QR codes embedded in the brochure provide precise locations of these sites, making them easily accessible to visitors. Printed brochures are available for free at Probikers, OMR. For a digital or physical copy, you can email [email protected]. It’s completely free.
