C.L. Baid Metha College of Pharmacy, Thoraipakkam, recently hosted a three-day international conference and workshop titled ‘AI-Driven Innovations in Drug Discovery and Emerging Technologies in Pharmacy’. Held from Aug.4 to 6, the event brought together leading global experts, researchers, and professionals to discuss the transformative role of AI in pharmaceutical sciences.
The conference was inaugurated by Dr. S.D. Rajendran of Scitus Pharma Services and Dr. Bhuvaneswari Sridhar, an adjunct faculty at IIT Madras. The sessions featured an accomplished panel of international speakers from countries like Australia, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia, who spoke on key topics such as AI-enabled drug design, predictive modelling, and robotics in medicine.
With wide participation from academicians, students, and industry professionals, the event included keynote addresses, e-poster presentations, and workshops. The aim was to foster global collaboration and encourage innovation-driven healthcare approaches.
