Students from Wado Ryu School, Gandhi Nagar, have achieved top honours at the International Karate Championship 2025, hosted by the Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate Do Federation of India and Malaysia on Aug.3. The tournament saw several students secure podium finishes in both Kumite (sparring) and Kata (forms) disciplines.
The medal winners include:
- Dr. Saritha D – 2nd place in Kata
- Abhishek Raj – 1st place in Kumite
- Sanjeev Raj – 2nd place in Kumite
- Tharani R – 2nd place in Kata
- Meghana Anand – 1st place in Kata
- Pranathi S – 2nd place in Kata
- Vijaya Kumar – 1st place in Kumite
- Naumika – 3rd place in both Kata and Kumite
