Dhruti Trust, a Thiruvanmiyur-based non-profit dedicated to student mental health, conducted a workshop at the PT Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker Polytechnic College in Vepery on July 31. The session was led by Dr. Sangeetha, Director of Psychological Services at Dhruti, for second-year Mechanical Engineering students. The college Principal, Dr. Venkatraman, presided over the event, encouraging students to utilise the techniques taught.

Dhruti Trust is committed to providing free, high-quality, and confidential counselling services to college students and young adults. The organisation believes that mental well-being is crucial for academic success and personal growth, offering a safe space for students to address issues such as relationships, phobias, exam stress, and bullying. As one of the trust’s counsellors stated, “Our goal is to help students build resilience and develop healthy coping mechanisms that will serve them long after they leave college.”
