A new free recreation centre for children will be inaugurated on May 1 at 11 am at the Councillor’s Office near Kottur Signal, Kotturpuram. The initiative aims to provide a safe and engaging space for children to participate in indoor games and creative activities.
The centre will offer a range of options, including chess, carrom, scrabble, puzzles, pallankuzhi, colouring books with crayons, and LEGO blocks. It is intended to serve as a community hub where children can spend time constructively.
The inauguration will be marked by the presence of Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand, who is expected to formally open the facility. As part of the event, he has also agreed to play a couple of games of chess with some of the children attending.
