Shop for Handloom and handicraft products in Chennai’s Santhe

Smart Art Events is conducting ‘Kala Santhe’ – a handloom and handicraft bazaar till July 28 at the CERC Campus, Kalakshetra Road.

Kala Santhe will showcase exquisite ethnic products bringing together weavers and craftsmen from all states of India. With over 100 stalls participating in the ethnic fair, the event promises to be a one-stop destination that stocks rare Indian art and handicrafts. Various products on display will be traditional textiles like Kantha, Kasuti, Ikat, Phulkari, Uppada, Patola, Chikankari and hand-woven embroidery Urmul tops from Phalodi, exotic sarees from Kolkata and Banarasi, intricate candle stands, Lambani and Jaipur jewellery, bamboo art and craft, Tanjore paintings, Pattachitra, Madhubani, wrought iron and antique furniture, Batik and block print apparel, sea shell artefacts, grass baskets and artistic sculptures. A unique range of handcrafted jewellery including exotic Orissa tribal ornaments, silver filigree, lacquerware from Jaipur and dazzling imitation jewellery are available.

Pet adoption drive

Kala Santhe will also feature a pet adoption drive organised by iAdopt, an animal adoption non-profit organisation, on July 21, 27 and 28. The adoption drive will have pet lovers, prospective pet adopters, and celebrities from all over the city to interact, adopt and donate to the welfare of the rescued dogs and cats. There will also be many pet-related stalls at the event, with all proceeds going towards the donation fund for the rescued animals. Don’t miss out on their lucky draw for exclusive prizes.
