In a heartwarming gesture of community care, a water stand (thaneer pandhal) was inaugurated by Kidzee Thiruvanmiyur at Valmiki Nagar to provide clean drinking water to passers-by during the scorching summer days.
The water stand was formally opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony graced by 180 Ward Councillor Vishalakshi Kabilan and DMK Ward Secretary Ganesh Kumar.
As part of the inaugural event, free umbrellas were distributed to help people shield themselves from the intense sun. Adding to the refreshing spirit, juicy watermelons were also shared with the needy. This thoughtful initiative aims to quench the thirst of workers, and travelers alike, offering a simple yet vital service at the right time.
