ISKCON Chennai will be celebrating Jhulan Yatra, a cherished festival honouring the divine love of Radha and Krishna, from Aug.16 to 19 at ISKCON’s ECR temple. They will also celebrate Lord Balaram’s appearance day on Aug.19. The day will be marked by special prayers, devotional songs, and a grand celebration in honour of Lord Balaram.

For Jhulan Yatra the deities of Radha and Krishna will be dressed in beautiful jewellery and placed on a swing decorated with many flowers. During the festival, a special prayer ceremony will be performed with sweet devotional songs. After the arati, devotees will have the opportunity to personally swing the deities and offer their prayers. Schedule for Aug.18: 10.30 am – bhajans; 11.30 am – Bhagvad Gita class; 12 pm – Aarati; 12.30 pm – Julan; 1.15 pm – lunch / prasad. Ph: 94441 07585, 99623 98903.
